The fratricidal war that bleeds the empire dry
The war has not yet broken out, but the uncertain succession already contains the logic that will ultimately set the dynasty against itself.
A fratricidal war begins before the weapons: it is born when common belonging ceases to be stronger than the ambition to seize power. Division turns differences over succession into a threat to the entire structure. After the death of Huayna Cápac, doubts between Huáscar and Ninan Cuyoche open a vacuum in which omens, factions, and interests begin to dispute the mascaypacha.
In these first scenes the fratricidal war has not yet unfolded, but its seed is already present: an immense authority depends on contradictory decisions about who should receive the mascaypacha. When legitimacy becomes debatable, each faction can turn its particular interest into a supposed defense of the Empire.
CondorSoul speaks with the men who interpret omens and hears a disturbing idea: the future is built from the present.
The fracture of the lineage shows that a private dispute can acquire public consequences when family power is confused with the destiny of the State and compromises its future stability, deepening divisions, weakening authority, and threatening long-term political continuity.
