The awakening of memory at the origin of the world
Returning to the origin is not going backward: it is recognizing the root from which a community learns to name itself and understand the meaning of its identity.
Memory awakens when human beings stop looking at the origin as a remote date and recognize it as part of themselves. To search for one’s roots is to try to understand what sustains our identity before deciding where to move forward. Driven by that impulse, CondorSoul crosses the gates of ancient Cuzco to meet Manco Cápac and hear what the centuries did not leave in writing.
In that search, Manco Cápac appears as patriarch and origin. His figure represents not only the first sovereign, but the human need to find a beginning that gives meaning to what came afterward. CondorSoul understands that a society may lose territories, monuments, and power, but it truly loses its way when it ceases to recognize itself in its own genealogy. That is why the journey into the past is also a movement toward identity.
The account preserves the cold of the highlands, the poncho, the cancha, the llamas, and the preparations for the Cápac Raymi. Those details prevent the past from becoming an abstraction.
Thus, the origin ceases to be a distant legend and becomes a reference for the present.
