A charitable Christmas in the heart of Yurimaguas
The Carlos J. Sánchez MD Foundation brought joy and hope to the children of the Peruvian jungle during a charitable event held on December 23, 2023, on the eve of Christmas. The activity took place in the hamlet of San Francisco, in Yurimaguas, where a hot-chocolate gathering and gift distribution were organized for the youngest children.
The celebration brought together children, families, volunteers, and collaborators in a day marked by smiles, games, and moments of fraternity. Every effort made acquired meaning by sharing with a community for which Christmas also became an opportunity for encounter and hope.
Beyond the gifts, the activity reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to children and to populations that require greater attention. Its purpose is to promote charitable actions that bring aid, affection, and opportunities to different communities in Peru.
Its humanitarian work is summarized in one phrase: “A country that does not care for its children is a country without a soul.”
